This page will guide you on how to use Git and GitHub to clone the project repository to your computer. Also follow the instructions on how to read the .ipynb file included in the repository.

Follow the next steps to get the repository for Project 6. Read all of the steps before beginning.

  1. Follow this link to get the repository for Project 6.
    1. When you click on the link, you will be asked to login with your GitHub account.
    2. Then you will be asked to accept the assignment. When you do, GitHub will start cloning the project repository to your account.
    3. After the cloning is finished, you will get a link to your assignment. Follow that link.
    4. Lastly, click on the green button Clone or download and copy the URL to the repository.
  2. Move to the folder you created with virtualenv on the previous lectures:
cd ~/Dropbox/HFFE
  1. Clone the repository:
git clone url_to_the_repository
  1. Activate the environment and launch jupyter notebook:
source bin/activate
jupyter notebook
  1. A browser will open and you should see the files in the HFFE/ folder, open the project.ipynb file inside the repository folder you just cloned.

After you complete the project remember to push your commits back to your remote repository.
